General:

What is Vector Strike?

Vector Strike is a data management system designed to help vector control professionals work more efficiently. The system is accessible via any web browser, which means users can access it from any Internet-connected computer, laptop, PDA, or smart phone at anytime from anywhere.

Is it easy to use?

Yes. Vector Strike’s user-friendly interface is very simple to use. With drop down menus and clearly defined fields, becoming proficient with the system will take very little time.

Can I modify it to fit our workflow?

One of the greatest attributes of Vector Strike is that you can modify it to fit the way you and your organization work. From creating asset classes (mosquito, beetle, rats, etc.) to re-defining chemical lists, the system will accommodate your changes so that you stay in control.

Where will our data be kept?

Data will be kept in our enterprise-grade servers. This means your organization will not be required to purchase or maintain expensive network computers, but will have access to the data whenever you need it.

Who has access to our data?

Your designated system administrator will have the ability to select the access level of each user in your organization to ensure data security and integrity is maintained.

Will our data be safe and secure?

All data will be securely hosted in our servers, which reside in professional data centers and are backed up daily. Power and Internet connectivity are also closely monitored, allowing us to offer Vector Strike with a 99.99% uptime.

How do we access our information?

Information is exchanged via a Internet-connected web browser. While at the office or out in the field, you can easily access data to update records or retrieve past entries.

How fast is the system?

Vector Strike is very fast as compared to the traditional ways of managing data from field to office (paper and pen). Once the information is entered, the user clicks ‘submit’ on his mobile device to send the data directly to the server. This makes the information accessible by the team that instant – in real time, meaning more inspections and treatments and less driving back and forth to the office.

Can we upload images and documents?

Yes. Vector Strike allows for the addition of images and documents to your data set in order to give your team a more comprehensive view of the information collected.

Do we need to buy network computers?

No. Because we will host your data, your organization will not be required to purchase or manage expensive network computers.

Do we need to hire network experts?

No. Additional employees focused on network management are not needed when implementing Vector Strike. Simply allocate a person who will act as your organization’s system administrator, and the system does the rest.

How much does it cost?

We’ve made it very cost effective to utilize Vector Strike. By paying on a per user per month basis, your organization can be running with industry-leading technology very quickly – all at a very small investment. Please click here to see our pricing.

Use in the field:

What kind of equipment do I need?

Does Vector Strike offer portable devices?

Yes. Vector Strike has partnered with many leading portable hardware manufacturers and distributors to offer an extensive list of units for use in the field. Click here for more information.

Can I use my PDA or smart phone?

Yes. Any PDA or smart phone with an Internet-connected browser can be used to access Vector Strike.

How do I input the data?

The system’s user interface utilizes a combination of drop down menus, radio buttons, and manual entry fields for optimum data entry efficiency.

How do I transfer the data?

Once data is collected and entered into the relevant fields, simply click ‘submit’ and the system will transfer the data directly to the server instantly.

Can I get updated information from the office?

Yes. Technicians in the field can easily review their list of activities anytime, and review any updated information sent by the office in real time. This provides for more efficient communication and collaboration between team members on either side.

Do I have to be online?

Yes. Currently, the system requires that your portable device either get wireless Internet signals or get Internet-compatible phone signals for use with smart phones.

An installed module will be released in the coming weeks to allow for offline work, and then synchronized with your database at a later time when your portable device is online.

In the office:

Can my field technicians receive their assignments through this system?

Yes. Job duties can be assigned to field technicians through the system, helping to improve resource allocation, performance efficiency, and team collaboration.

Can I forward updated information to my field technicians?

Yes. Technicians in the field with portable units which have Internet access can receive updated information entered in Vector Strike.

Can I plot an address or several addresses onto a map?

Yes. All proper addresses have X and Y map coordinates. This information can be uploaded to Virtual Earth®, which is already built into Vector Strike. Once entered, these addresses can be seen on a map as data points for reports and trend analysis purposes.

Can I select an area on a map in the system and get addresses in that area?

Yes. With all confirmed addressed in the system generating proper X and Y coordinates, selecting an area on the built-in Virtual Earth® map in Vector Strike will reveal all data points within that area.

Are reports easy to make?

Yes. What once took several hours and sometimes days to create can now take only a few minutes. With powerful report-creation tools, supervisors and managers have the power to query any data set for reports made monthly, weekly, or even daily.

What kind of reports can I make?

Yes. Reports can be created and published online within Vector Strike for distribution and collaboration with your entire organization.

Can I transport reports into MS Excel spreadsheet format?

Yes. Reports and other data are easily transported to MS Excel format for easy downloading the distribution.

How do I know who last modified the data in the system?
